The very interesting thing in such near equator area is the parastic fern or orchid. Later the visit of orchid garden makes me deeply undertand why the books introduce orchid as parastic mainly. It's true. They all live on other trees or some broken woods. This turns down all my beautiful eastern orchid culture image.
These beautiful flowers are not made for nice vases original. They just grow out from others' body, just like mushroom. :(( Nothing related to an elegant orchid in the tranquil valley.
Two kinds of fern parastic on the street tree. Very interesting, the upper one use a round leave to hold itself on the stem, this leave shapes different from other upper leaves. Then the second fern also grow out from the round leaf, hanging down.
I think they are two fern. Don't tell me this fern has 3 shape leaves. :-|

Acctually I am not sure whether singapore people plant such parastic fern onto the tree. For there's a string help to attach the fern. They use string to plant orchid onto trees in National Orchid Garden. But it is also possible that they just help the cute fern when it begins grow on tree.
When we are examining ferns and decide to take a photo, a man speaks to us, 'so you are looking the fern?' 'Yes. It's ... special.' Then he's very happy and told us 2 years ago he moved to this house because at the first sight he fell love into this beautiful fern. 'Did you notice that ferns on other trees arround here doesn't grow so nice?' We look arround, yes, all other trees either has no fern, or very tiny.
So I ask him for this happy man with his fern photoshot.
