又兴致昂然的开始修复图片。隔着有雨渍的车窗，我记得那时多么渴望能够在这路途停下，走下去，然而火车一直向前开。
嗯，俺修图的水平越来越好了，photoshop的技术已经发展到使用高深的拉索工具，长此以往，有朝一日失了业可以去当修图工。:)
所以不轮什么情况，拍总是对的，不要失望，再不济还可以修修补补，但路过的瞬间，一去永不复返。
修图修得很愉快，多么美丽阿。

Well, I get problem with 'metaphysical'....
Tell the truth, I don't know what it exactly means.
You said Mr. Herbert List's Black and White photos are so good because somehow they are considered 'metaphysical'
Then I check dictionary, metaphysical is 形而上学 in Chinese.
Well, I only remember I saw this word when Mr Karl Marx's theory is introduced. Some phylosophy is 'metaphysical', some other is another kind and Karl Marx is what what what (of course something perfect).
So what is it?
Why Herbert List is good for so called 'metaphysical'?
I should admit, I really did a bad job in phylosophy, especial Socialism Phylosophy. This one I did bad, and did nothing in other phylosophy. :)))

Emm, this is FAQ no.2:
'No HTML tag supported'
It changes '<' into double byte '<' automatically when input comments.
But I can change it back as the admin of this blog.

concerning the title of the picture -- no idea what viciou means, but in my book, the title of this picture is "Geist des Lykabettos I".
"Geist" is a german word that has several meanings:
ghost, spirit, mind, morale
looks like here 'ghost' is the correct meaning.
Lykabettos (or lykavitos) is the highest mountain in/around athens, greece, well known for its view and being one of the few silent places in this big noisy town.
i do not know whether i understand this picture correctly, but it keeps me thinking of it. one of my ideas is that it is some kind of portrait, where you do not see the "other" (person), but merely a reflection of yourself.
i cannot tell you why it is special, i can only tell that it keeps me thinking, and it is still interesting to me although i know it for a long time now. so there is something in it i still could not get to the bottom of.
btw, it is only the first picture of a series.

You can't read it before. Because I just add it very recently.
I found this topic very very interesting...
I suppose it is very magic if one photo can always make one thinking, even after long long years.
Now I understand why you like it. Maybe that is the charm, Herbert List coveys a vague idea in it, so nice not to show it sharp and strong, the whole procedure to catch the idea brings so much pleasure. Mysterious.

just returned from a short photo-excursion. short, because all batteries failed much too early. hope it was my fault at loading.
a new thread is maybe a good idea. maybe not reserve it to herbert list alone, but discussing (special) photographers in general?
