花容

　　马蹄莲开得鼎盛。洁白、饱满、成熟、自信。
　　这是我不能不买一盆回去的原因，在鲜花店里，它从来没有这样夺人过，总是细脚伶仃，单调孱弱，给玫瑰做陪衬可惜了它，全然做主角却追不上百合的风情，最后终究是，还没完全伸展开，就凋零了。
　　原来它要长在土里才是它自己。

饱满的大白花（苞叶）

The big white calyx(?), I know the small flowers on the yellow pillar inside are the true flowers.
They look more full when grow in earth. In flower shop, when a single flower stand in water, looks weak and nothing extraordinary.


今年不知道怎么回事，花全要长成头重脚轻。走的时候郁金香还挺象样，谁知两周里面疯长了一通，硬长成个巨长的蛇脖子，花一头载下，回来看它已是尾声了。风信子兴致勃勃开了个爆炸头，也撑不住，只好把它靠到窗玻璃上托着脑袋。总之，水仙开了个坏头，大家纷纷效仿。:(

　　
我不敢肯定当初买球的时候是不是挑了蓝色的，但肯定不是粉红，因为去年那个粉红的球给挖了出来，还藏在冰箱里呢。那球是活的，种下了，比这个晚些，所以苞啊叶啊还没长出来。
我满心等着别的什么颜色的风信子出来，结果FEW打电话说开了粉红的，我都不相信自己的耳朵。比较失望啊，颜色重了。:"(

I know for sure I didn't pick a pink hyacinth ball, for my last year ball is pink and keeps well in refrigirator. (It's fine, already grows in earth again.)
So I am a little disappointed when it turns out another pink, suppose to be a blue one or something else.


这一大串花太重了，只能架着才不会一头载倒在地。

腊梅开过了整个冬天，开始长叶子了。卖花的老头说，腊梅要在春天长芽的时候狠下手来修枝，那样冬天才会好。这怎么下得了手呢？它肯赏脸好好长叶子我已经很感动了。

After a blossoming cold season, winter sweet begins to grow out new leaves.

　　I love your second photo: the hint on the white clothes, spot-on. Also very nice how it shows the 'flowers' from different views and the curly leaves in front of the contrasting flowerless and geometrical facade.
　　
　　Btw: the white leaf is called 'spathe', greek for 'broad blade'.
　　
　　Your hyacinth is so beautiful, don't be too dissapointed about the colour. I don't know how hyacinthes react, but some flowers change from blue to red when the water or soil is acidly - and vice versa.

　　Good idea, I will try to get some alkaline soil next year and get blue flowers maybe.... :))
